storylined
I sometimes wonder, maybe the only reason conversations happen at all is because there is an insatiable thirst in all things human to be heard, to tell stories, to talk about themselves animatedly till their throats and lips dry up and a small drop of white saliva appears on their lower lip, only to become an integral part of the conversation thereafter and an animated one at that. The irony though is that no one wants to listen to other people's stories! I don't. I'd like to like their stories, might just be interesting if I try to listen. But i'm bad at multi-tasking(future employers read: I'm a perfectionist). When their story is going on, my story is being edited in my head. I usually don't lie but what anecdotes are "shareable", which events of my life could be served with a dash of exaggeration, in order to reinforce the fellow story teller's trust in my portrayal of me- the person...the character rather..
Is that something that I shouldnt have read?? :D
