"BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE"
-Mahatma Gandhi
It is so silly to watch yourself GETTING into a skirmish you didn't want to. You are saying throughout, 'I don't want to get into a fight!' until you hear yourself screaming at the top of your lungs,
'I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO A FIGHT!!!! DAMN IT!!!'
And you cry...Because you are in a situation you never saw coming...
Amazing, marvelous, superb, great...
It's weird how we constantly regret saying, doing and thinking certain things when all of it was once a CHOICE. Yes everything, every word, every single passing thought is a decision that we take. All of us get mad, go crazy, completely lose it sometime or the other but even at that particular spur of the moment its ones DECISION which changes the whole course of the event.
Eternal inner peace they call it.
For me, in plain simple words its SANYAM, self control. The amount of self control required to resist reacting to an ego-attacking taunt is too much at times and it seems like an easy way out to shout at the other person to get rid of the soaring frustration. But our actions, they are as much of duties as they are rights. Whatever I do in this moment is my responsibility forever. I'm a firm believer, not in god but in the law or rather science ;karma. If I am regretting or fighting in and against this moment then I'm fighting with the whole universe and all existence, which is the most imprudent act of all. Why do we fight with the universe , or to say, why do we fight at all. And even if we do, then why we go around sulking, regretting and blaming others whereas we should take the responsibility.
To take responsibility, one needs strength and strength automatically comes when a person bases his life on a strong foundation; a strong faith, a life philosophy, a goal, an ambition, a spirited mentor, a seeking mind or simply a mission. A mission
thats one's unique and nobody else's. A mission which will not be accomplished if the one whose it is to accomplish, fails to.
I'm responsible for me, my actions. Now and forever.
